Steam integration doesn't work at the moment. Steam API have been changed completely some time ago.

I need to write it from scratch now.

I plan to create PlayClaw plugin to get chat as overlay in any game. PlayClaw is whitelisted by anticheat software so it should work fine and it won't be depended on Steam API.

Right now you can use your smartphone/tablet to read chat via built-in Web UI (can be enabled in Settings->Services).

And it's appearance can be easily customized.

So I'm running into an issue... while Twitch emoji carries over, any text before the emoji causes the link to the emoji to be displayed in chat e.g. "Crap Kappa" displays "Crap /static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/chansub-global-emoticon-d4e971f7a6830e95-30x30.png" width="30" height="30" alt="WinWaker" />"  Any easy way to fix?

AWESOME product btw, and as such, I have 3 feature requests:

1) Web-Server: Ability to set time interval for each message to fade out and not stay in the buffer (e.g. timeout is set to 10 seconds - a 10 second old message will fade out and no longer exist, a new message will fade in and remain displayed/in memory for 10 seconds but at 10 seconds, will fade out and be deleted).

I created a work-around (after a crap-ton of experimenting and googling since I don't know jquery or js) for this in \web\js\ubiquitous.js by replacing the original #chat > div:hidden line under 'var refresh = function ()' :

$('#chat > div:hidden').fadeIn(500).delay(30000).fadeOut(500)
.delay(30501).queue(function() { $(this).remove(); });

2) Web-Server: Ability to ignore a comma separated list of usernames (mainly used to keep bot-spam out of chat)

3) Add support for beam.pro - https://developer.beam.pro/

4) Web-Server: Icons that aren't hidden within resource files (so they can be edited/enlarged if necessary)

Please keep in mind that \web\js\ubiquitous.js gets overwritten every time you update the app. The best way to customize it is to copy all content of the \web\ to something like \web\my and open web ui via http://localhost/my/

I'm thinking about adding some settings form to the Web UI. Though everything you asked can be done right now by modifiying ubiquitous.js.

Beam.pro is using websockets so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll add it

That makes sense, I'll remember to do that on my end.

Yeah, some web server settings would be really nice :)

And thank you so much for the beam support, I'm looking forward to it :)

Also, not a feature I'm making use of, but I've noticed that your version of OBS Browser seems to break the traditional OBS Browser (e.g. there's no compatibility between you and other popular plugins).  I don't know if that's something you can easily fix or not.

Well actually that CLR Browser plugin have been taken from it's github page: https://github.com/k...serSourcePlugin

By some reason compiled version didn't work well in 64bit mode.

You can try to overwrite it with "official" version and check if it work. Maybe there were some updates...

No pressure, but any idea on how long Beam support might take?  I've got a community full of casters that I'm writing a tutorial to using your software for and wanted to put a date on the beam support if there was one.

awesome!  thanks, what's the best way to get the product to update?  to just run setup again?  I'd thought I read it was auto-updating.

Yes it should update automatically if you install it via setup.exe

Just run application via start menu shortcut.

ahh, ok, thanks.  Btw, beam chat has that same emote issue that twitch chat did (emote preceded or followed by text is shown as a link instead of image)

Unfortunatelly I can't control that behavior of beam.pro. They send emoticons as objects embedded in the message. And if there no space - there no emoticon object.

I wholeheartedly understand, however, I was moreso talking about this:

test <space> :chicken works as intended

:chicken works as intended

:chicken <space> test displays a URL instead of the emoji

so is that also something you can't fix? (totally understandable if it is, just odd that it's exhibiting the same behavior the twitch component was)
